Pleasant House Bakery is a family owned bakery and cafe located in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood. We specialize in traditional and modern savory pies and specialty sweets.
We hand make our own Royal Pies using the best meats and quality produce—growing as much of it as possible at our own Pleasant Farms locations in Chicago.
Pleasant House Bakery also serves lunch and daily dinner specials. We offer a lovely selection of drinks, including our own homemade sodas, and are BYOB.

Directions and Parking
Pleasant House Bakery is located on the corner of 31st Street and Morgan Street in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood. It is on the north side of the first intersection with a traffic light west of Halsted Street. Free street parking is plentiful.
By Vehicle
Both Lake Shore Drive (north and southbound) and I-94/Dan Ryan (north and southbound) exit at 31st Street. For both, travel westbound on 31st Street. The nearest I-55/Stevenson exit (northbound only) is Ashland Avenue. Halsted Street and Archer Avenue are the nearest primary local streets (north and southbound).
By Bicycle
Both Loomis Street (west) and Halsted Street (east) have bicycle lanes and cross 31st Street. Bicycle racks are located outside the bakery.
CTA/”L”
The Halsted Street bus (#8) stops at 31st Street. From there, walk west to the bakery. The nearest “L” train station is Halsted/Archer (Orange Line). From the “L” station, walk south on Halsted Street then west on 31st Street.
